Skills Assessment

Certain Visas, such as Temporary Graduate Visas, require a ‘Skills Assessment’ to be carried out, in order to determine if you are eligible to obtain the Visa and work within a certain occupation. Some Visas do not require a skills assessment to be completed, however it may be requested anyway; in which case, you will need to obtain one.

A skills assessment authority will review your skills and qualifications, to see if your skill set is on par with the skills necessary to undertake particular occupations. The Australian Government has formulated a list of eligible skilled occupations, which your skills will be assessed against.

Here at Immico, our migration agents can guide you through the process of obtaining and submitting a skills assessment for your Visa Application. Certain occupations must be assessed by particular assessment authorities and it can sometimes be difficult to know exactly where to go for a skills assessment. Our dedicated migration agents will direct you in the right direction and walk you through each step of the process.

Visa conditions and the specifics regarding Immigration to Australia are subject to change, at the discretion of the Australian Government.
